Time for another fun afternoon party at the Kaiser’s. Elaine and Art are generously opening their home again for a Savor Eldorado event, on Sunday July 7 from 3pm to 6pm. (See some pics from that day.) The World of Dreams Duo with Julie Cunningham and Larry Diaz will be our background entertainment, sharing an extensive repertoire of pop (mostly oldies), 60s and 70s hits, Beatles and originals. Listen to them on CD Baby. (Hear my flute on “Realize.”)
We have a new and exciting kind of art for this event: Dan Gowe will be sharing his handcrafted bamboo fly rods. I visited his Eldorado studio and got the full tour. It’s quite amazing to let him walk you through the intricate process of making a rod. The tools alone are a trip. Dan has kindly decided to donate 10% of any sales made at the party to our donation til. (Our first $100 check goes to the Vista Grande Library) Contact Daniel if you’d like to set up a visit. He takes groups as well.
This is a pot luck. Plan to bring finger food and your drink of choice.
RSVP HERE NOW >> You will receive directions and information.
RAFFLE: Every $10 suggested donation gets 2 raffle tickets, making you eligible to win a $100 bill. The drawing will be held at about 5:00 pm. Must be present to win. Thanks again to Kay and Gary for being the official treasurers in addition to being our raffle-masters! We are thrilled to start saving extra raffle money to donate to local organizations. More about that as the money comes in.
EXTRA: You are invited to join Hope Kiah and Jim Harlan for acoustic guitar, vocals and improv flute at Upper Crust in Eldorado on Friday 7/5. Read more here.
